June ’14 Picture Day – Part 1
So yeah, I’ve been a bit busy (or you could say lazy I suppose) and haven’t gotten these up. There are a lot of them, so I’m going to break it into two days.
Day at the National Zoo
Washington DC has a pretty nice Zoo – and it’s free. The problem is on nice days you need to get there early or else it gets too crowded. We managed to beat most of the crowd and get in a decent visit before ‘lil q started to get tired.
- I got the best seat, and it moves when I tell him too.
- This little cub went exploring.
- The momma didn’t like it, so she went and fetched her cub. (Sometimes I wish I could carry ‘lil q around like this.)
- The papa lion didn’t seem bothered that his cub went wandering. He stayed put and just looked good.
- ‘lil q decided the best part of the zoo was the Merry-go-round.
- Muggin’ for Daddy.
- This is us having to go around a second time.
Birthday Parties.
This time of year is birthday season for the kids in ‘lil q school. We of course have to go to them all.
- First we play
- Then we have cake. On a hot day, chocolate cake gets everywhere.
- A little snack with one of my BFFs.
Odds and Ends:
Just because they’re cute and I don’t have an ‘event’ to put them under.
- Strawberry picking – Papa picked the nice red ones.
- After coming to visit me at work one day, ‘lil q picked up her purse, put on a bracelet and told me she had to go to work. She then said, me, daddy and Emma could take the train ‘into town’ to come visit her.
- New swim class – no more Daddy and me. ‘lil q is all grown up and on her own with just the instructor.
- Me and my niece/god daughter. Talk about all grown up! I remember when and now she’s coming to DC to visit me. (I’m so old!)
Oh, I loved the zoo there when I was a kid. 🙂
Cia, I did too until I started working at my job. Right after we went there was a shooting case that came in to the office – I’m just glad I didn’t have to handle it. But it is a really nice zoo and free is good too. 😀
OMG…isn’t she growing!! <3
To quote ‘lil q -‘too much’ That is what she says when we ask her how much. 😉 lol.
Thanks as always for sharing ‘lil q and family times with us.
