Every year Dreamspinner Press has an Workshop for its authors. Each year more and more people attend. Last year, in Portland, I started taking selfies with people. So I continued the ‘tradition’ this year.

This was my first GRL and well I might have taken a few too many pictures, but I had a great time and I wanted to share a few (yes, there are way more than these). The videos didn’t fit in the gallery so I added them at the end. J.P. Found a new way to draw attention to me. It was. . .interesting to have this happen all the time. 😀 Seeing Amy Lane at the signing, well, we got a bit carried away. If there was a better way to end GRL, I can’t think of what it would be.
Kids and Christmas—What Santa Doesn’t Tell You Even though my oldest son was born on December 12th, let’s face it—that first Christmas was sort of a bust from his end, and the second wasn’t much better. I mean, long hours, lots of people, too much noise, too much excitement, and too many people not-the-mama or want-the-daddy are trying to hold you—how awesome can Christmas really be for the very very tiny? The adults are losing their minds. “Ohmigosh! It’s a toddler in a Santa hat, couldn’t you just die!” And seriously—you add a kitten to the picture or a puppy or hell, even a gold fish in a bowl with red and green rocks, and, yes, sugar shock will set …
