  • New Release: Deconstructing Channing, by BA Tortuga

    Deconstructing Channing_HiRes[1]Blurb:

When they were young together back in their werecat pride, Bowie and Channing experimented with love and sex, as well as flirting with a threesome with their best friend Emma. Channing and Emma both ran from their needs, leaving Bowie to break away and find his own life. Now a confident Dom, Bowie discovers Channing again through a video of a consummate sub, one Bowie knows he needs to find once more.

When Bowie shows up on his doorstep, Channing feels like a teenager again, all confusion and need. He doesn’t date his own kind, only humans, and he’s not in the market for a full-time Master. Bowie is impossible to deny, a force of nature, and while both men know they’ll have to think about Emma eventually, now is the time to see if they can get to know and love each other all over again.

    Publisher: Ellora’s Cave

    Cover Artist: Kelly Martin

    Excerpt:

The trip was designed to give him time. Time to figure out what he was going to say to Channing Lanier when he saw the sorry son of a bitch again.

He could start with “Hey, you rat bastard. Amazing how you came out after you dropped me like a hot rock.” That would be fun. Or maybe, “I thought you weren’t into spanking and bondage, and your precious asshole was sacrosanct, but now you’re a bottom in the underground BDSM scene,” would work better. (more…)

  • Cover Reveal – A Matter of When, by Eden Winters

Cover Reveal and Giveaway:  A Matter of When, by Eden Winters.

    A Matter of When400x600

    BLURB:

Wealth. Fame. Gold record. Hookers and Cocaine front man Henri Lafontaine has it all…including a control freak manager, band members who smile as they sharpen blades for his back, and last but damn well not least, a fan out to steal his heart. Literally. Trying to write hit songs and plan a comeback in the midst of the hi-fi white noise of LA feels more like watching his world implode, until he’s offered a month in the Colorado Rockies for vocal coaching.

Sebastian Unger’s rich, classically trained tenor inspires wicked thoughts. More than a pretty choir boy, he cracks the whip without hesitation to drive tattooed bad-boy Henri to give his all to his music. Working, fighting, and finally establishing a fragile peace, they find inspiration and perhaps more in each other. But the clock is ticking. Time will pull Henri back to the grit and gold of LA’s mean streets and fame machine, while Sebastian must return to the opera circuit, where a mysterious man known as “the patron” holds far too much sway. Only the trust they’ve built on a handful of notes bridges their two worlds…and shields them from malice. (more…)

  • A Closed Door – Part of the Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust Anthology

Those who follow my writing know that I don’t write a lot of contemporary MM romance stories. Most of my stuff is either paranormal or fantasy.  I also haven’t written anything for inclusion in an anthology.  So when I co-founded Wayward Ink Publishing with Lily Velden, it was suggested – nicely I’ll point out – that perhaps as a part owner of the company I might want to help the company along by writing something for inclusion in the anthology.  So I bucked two trends and agreed to write a story for the Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust anthology that came out on July 20, 2014. A Closed Door is my contribution to the anthology. LLLL Bookmark   As I said, A Closed Door was a bit different for me. There is no magic, no wizards, no swords, no mental powers.  Just two people trying to coup with loss and their past.  Two warnings. There is no sex – while I know I don’t typically write sex scenes, this story just didn’t call for it.  Read it to see why.  The other warning is I’ve been told I made two readers cry.  So be warned. Orin Merritt is the main character. He returns to the remains of his childhood home after a tornado destroy it and took his parents lives.  He’s obviously devastated and while trying to cope with their loss, he has to confront his ex-best friend who is trying to make amends. In addition, he made a promise to his parents that he expected he’d have years to plan out, but with their death, he has to honor in the middle of his loss and confusion. I’m pleased with how the story came out – which probably doesn’t count for much because I wrote it, but I think it holds its own among some very good stories in the anthology.

    Blurb:

LLLL Banner - mini We’ve all loved. We’ve all laughed. Sadly, we’ve also probably all known loss in one form or another. And, yes, we at Wayward Ink are sure we’ve all experienced lust! In Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust, you’ll experience one or more of the “L”s as we take you on a roller coaster of emotions. Whether you like to sigh over the sweet, cry for the broken-hearted, enjoy a good laugh, or get a little hot and bothered, there’s something for everyone in this collection.

  • Cover Reveal – A Heart for Robbie; by JP Barnby

Today I’m doing something special for a friend.  She wrote a book that was very personal for her.  It has some meaning that she will share with her fans and readers in due time; in her time.  But JP is a rather wonderful person, a real angel among us. She published an entire line of books so she could donate the royalties to homeless LGBT youth, she created a website written by a YA character so LGBT youth would have a place to go and read about other kids like them and to feel safe; and she never judges.  Everyone is someone and everyone matters.

When she asked me to help spread the word about A Heart for Robbie it was an automatic yes.  If you’ve never read a JP Barnaby book, you should and this will be a great place to start.

  • Guest Author – Tempeste O’Riley – Desires’ Guardian and a Giveaway

Welcome, Tempe. Why don’t you start by telling everyone a bit about yourself.

I’m a mom and author, but first and foremost, I’m a mom. I spend my days writing and helping my kids with school work, their hair, and to be happy. I’m one of those weird mom’s that thinks my job is to help them become healthy, happy, and productive members of society, lol. I don’t dictate their education goals though. I have one that wants to be a chef, one a vet, one a princess, lol… And that’s just my boys.

I love to read all kinds of books and am a proponent of Bi/Pan/Omnisexuality. I am always disheartened when I see how few stories in the M/M catalog are bi (or where a seemingly bi character enters a gay relationship and suddenly all his m/f time was false. 🙁  ) In fact, my release in September has a bi main character. I won’t get on my soapbox, promise. But mainly, I’m a supporter of love and a lover of all. (more…)

  • Update: Part 1 – Wayward Ink Publishing

Some of you know, some of you don’t, but Lily Velden recently started Wayward Ink Publishing (WIP).

She asked me to be her partner in this venture, and while I said yes, I’m more of a very junior partner with a big mouth.  Lily is the driving force behind this new publisher, I’m just a helper.

WIP’s first book – Bollocks – is going to be released on June 5, 2014.  It is, however, available for pre-order now on WIP’s website:  Buy Link

Lily’s been a bit busy with some new things she’s doing so she didn’t stop by to promote her new book – [insert really sad face here]

    Pilgrimage_headerbanner

Thanks so much, Andy, for letting me visit here today! This is the fourth stop on my blog tour to discuss my new novel, Pilgrimage. And since my characters, Mike and Goran, spend the book on a pilgrimage, I thought it would be fun for us to follow along.

Having been zapped to an alternate universe, Mike must visit a series of shrines to a death god. The second shrine he visits is at a cemetery outside the small village of Ugolin:

Just past the village, a narrow pathway twisted through a flower-speckled meadow and skirted a small hillock before passing under an elaborate iron archway. Mike thought this was strange, because there was no wall or fence, just the arch. Once he was through the archway, he saw hundreds of small metal bowls with lids. They were laid out in careful rows, and the vegetation between each row had been flattened by trampling feet. (more…)
